Biography

Born in 1921, Charles graduated from Harbord Collegiate in Toronto and entered medicine at the University of Toronto in 1939.  At Graduation he won the William John Hendry Memorial Scholarship in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  His junior internship was at Christie Street Hospital and military service was in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in London, Ontario and Regina.

His post-graduate training included two years as resident in Internal Medicine at Westminster Hospital in London, Ont., six months at Philadelphia Dermatology Skin Cancer Hospital, one year at Wellesley Hospital in Internal Medicine, one year Sunnybrook Hospital, and six months in Pathology at the Banting Institute.  In 1952 he established a consulting practice in Toronto.  He died in 1993, age 72.
